The BMW M4 Competition Coupé sets the peak performance mark for the BMW 4 Series Coupé M Automobiles. Equipped with a 510-hp high-performance BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine and numerous drivetrain and chassis technologies derived from motorsport, this sports coupé offers typical M driving dynamics at a supreme level.

BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine.
The BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6- oylinder petrol engine features superior power delivery and the striking characteristic M engine sound. Two mono-scroll turbochargers, direct High-Precision Injection, fully variable valve control and variable camshaft control ensure outstanding performance.
8-speed M Steptronic with Drivelogic.
The 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic offers numerous shifting options: extremely dynamic, particularly comfortable and smooth, fuel-saving. You can shift manually using the gear lever or the gearshift paddles on the steering wheel, or select one of three automatic programmes using Drivelogic.
M Sport exhaust system.
The M Sport exhaust system delivers a dynamic sound that can be modified via the integrated exhaust valve mechanism. The SPORT and SPORT+ programmes, which can be selected via the SETUP button, are accentuated by an even more intense engine sound, while the comfort-oriented programme prioritises more discreet engine acoustics.
M Carbon ceramic brake.
The M Carbon ceramic brake delivers braking power more directly. It contributes to a lower vehicle weight, which has a positive impact on agility, dynamics and acceleration. The technical equipment is visible through carbon-ceramic brake discs and calipers in the colour Gold matt with M lettering on the front and rear axle on the outside. Due to specific material properties, increased operating noise may occur during braking, e.g. in case of prolonged, low load or in wet conditions shortly before vehicle standstill. The design-related noise can be avoided by braking the brake dry in case of wetness or loading the brake more heavily after a long, low braking load. The influence of wetness and road salt cause brake effectiveness to correspond to that of a conventional brake system. This reduced braking power can be compensated for with a greater pressure on the pedal. The functional noises have no influence on the performance, operational safety and stability of the brake.

Front design.
The front design of the BMW M4 Competition Coupé is a statement of technical purism. Placed at the centre is the bold character of the M kidney grille in a reduced interpretation for maximum dynamic effect. Side design.
The side view of the BMW M4 Competition Coupé conveys concentrated power and dynamics. The black carbon roof and the aerodynamically optimised sill area inspired by motorsport press the silhouette of the vehicle even closer to the road both optically and physically. The optional M specific exterior mirrors in carbon and the M gills with model logo impressively round off the sporty appearance alongside the distinctive M forged wheels.

CFRP roof.
As part of BMW's intelligent lightweight construction, the carbon roof made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) helps to reduce the car's mass, and shifts the car's centre of gravity lower. This leads to an increase in agility and dynamics when taking a bend, accelerating and braking.
Rear design.
The rear of the BMW M4 Competition Coupé testifies to its power and athleticism. Two M typical twin tailpipes protrude from the rear section as sporty statement – framed by an optional carbon diffuser with distinctive vertical fins. Surrounding the diffuser and emerging from the sill area is a black high-gloss surface that luxuriously frames this sporty element. At the edge of the tailgate an optionally available M rear spoiler in carbon provides an athletic finish.
M Carbon bucket seats.
The M Carbon bucket seat with illuminated M4 logo combines the lightness and racing character of a bucket seat with the range of functions of an M Sport seat. Its contouring offers perfect side support and excellent long distance comfort. It is compatible with multipoint harnesses and therefore fully suitable for racing.
M Carbon steering wheel.
The M Carbon steering wheel provides a racing feel. The carbon-fibre trim strips in the spokes surround the operating elements and complement the high-quality feel of the steering wheel. The racing-tested material fits the dynamically designed interior visually, too.
